01Safe operation

Operation guidelines

  • Use the Shining Guard display only as intended.
  • Keep the display away from excessive heat, open flames, and direct sunlight.
  • Do not leave it inside a vehicle, near windows, or in other high-temperature environments.
  • Store the product in a cool, dry location when not in use.
  • Inspect the device periodically for damage or battery swelling.

Battery safety

This product contains a rechargeable lithium-polymer battery. Improper use, charging, storage, or handling may result in overheating, fire, or permanent device damage.

  • Do not puncture, crush, modify, or expose the battery to excessive heat.
  • Discontinue use immediately if the battery is swollen, damaged, or excessively hot.

Heat and airflow

The highest brightness setting is intended for temporary showcase use and may generate noticeable heat during extended operation. Enclosed spaces can increase heat buildup.

  • Avoid maximum brightness for extended periods.
  • Ensure adequate airflow around the display.
  • Reduce brightness if the enclosure or display becomes warm.
  • Use caution inside slab bags, carrying cases, or other confined spaces.

Charging requirements

Use only standard 5V USB charging sources and USB-C charging cables compatible with 5V operation.

  • Do not use USB-C Power Delivery (PD) laptop chargers.
  • Do not use charging devices that supply voltages above 5V.
  • Incompatible charging equipment may damage the product and void any applicable warranty.

02Impact + shock disclaimer

Shining Guards are not rated for shock or impact protection.

The display is designed to enhance the presentation of compatible graded trading cards. It securely holds compatible slabs during normal display and handling, but must not be relied upon to protect cards from drops, impacts, crushing forces, or other physical damage.
